How it works
What happens between booking and baggage claim
An airport reservation starts with the flight, not the clock. Enter the airline and flight number in the booking form along with the terminal, the drop-off address, and how many passengers and checked bags are travelling. With the flight on the reservation, the pickup is planned around the actual arrival rather than the time printed on the ticket, which matters on a late-running transatlantic flight into JFK or a weather hold at LaGuardia.
Dispatch confirms the vehicle, the meeting point and the contact number in writing. When you land, turn your phone on and keep the confirmation handy. If you asked for a meet-and-greet, the chauffeur waits inside with a name sign; otherwise the confirmation names the curb or pickup zone the airport allows. Private flights at Teterboro and Westchester are met at the FBO named on the trip.
Departures work in reverse. Give the flight time and the pickup address, and the reservation team will suggest a pickup time that leaves room for the bridges and tunnels between you and the terminal. Morning rush on the Van Wyck or the approach to the Lincoln Tunnel can add a great deal to a drive that takes forty minutes at midday.

Which car for which flight
A solo traveller or a couple with carry-ons fits the executive sedan, up to three passengers, at $120 an hour for hourly bookings. Families and small teams with checked bags usually need the Cadillac Escalade ESV class, up to six passengers, at $150 an hour. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class, from $175 an hour, is the premium sedan for executives and guests. Groups of seven or more stay together in the Mercedes Sprinter, up to twelve passengers, from $200 an hour.

Choosing an airport
Getting the airport right before the car is booked
Several New York itineraries look alike on paper. Teterboro and Newark are both in New Jersey but serve entirely different flights. Westchester County Airport in White Plains and Stewart in the Hudson Valley are both north of the city, yet Stewart is a much longer drive. Book the three-letter code printed on the ticket, and if you are choosing between airports for an upcoming trip, the individual pages show the typical drive from Midtown and the approach roads for each one.
For travellers based outside Manhattan, the closest airport is not always the obvious one. Hoboken and Jersey City riders are often better served by Newark, while Greenwich and Stamford sit close to HPN. The service areas page lists every neighbourhood and suburb with its own page.

Can one car cover an airport run and meetings afterwards?
Yes. Book hourly when the car should wait or continue to other stops after the airport. Hourly rates are $120 for the sedan and $150 for the SUV, with S-Class from $175 and Sprinter from $200, all with a three-hour minimum.
